On the road again... in South Miami, FL
Realizing I was not geting any younger, I started to seriously excercise on a treadmill. After a few boring weeks an old knee injury started bothering again and sent me to the stationary bike to continue excercising.
Suddenly it all came back to me!... Riding feels great!
I bought an used Trek 1100 and I caught the fever again (after a 10 years hiatus) and I have been using the trainer and doing some 10 to 20 mile rides both on the road or MTB.
I thought riding a road bike was too dangerous in Miami, but I have discovered there are many diferent rides to do in town. In the other hand, using the mountain bike I have discovered some pretty good places to ride in my area (West of MetroZoo, Kendall).
So far I have lost 10 pounds which puts me at 160 with 5'9" and it feels like moving time backwards.
This forum helped me discover the sites where I could ride in town and I have been lurking long enough so I figured introduction was due.
Thanks
