Hey from CT

Hey everyone...I just stumbled across this forum today. I'm a fairly new roadie from the Hartford county area with commuting and triathlon aspirations for this spring/summer. Also looking to buy my first "real" road bike next month (a Trek 1500) as I have decided to upgrade from my Specialized Sirrus (a very cool hybrid).

I'm from Mercer County, NJ, but I have a lot of family and friends in CT. The winter is a great time to buy a bike. I bought my Cannondale in mid/late October and instead of being $1200-$1300, it was $950. You'll have plenty of money left over to start getting the stuff you need for your other goals.

Greetings, CTPolly, and welcome to BF - I used to live in North Guilford. Kudos on the road riding, but try a Mountain bike on the trails as well - they are awesome in that area. Some really great biking out there. I've moved and now I am way up north - and way out west as well.

Welcome! I'm right over the border in MA and ride mostly Hartford county. Very nice roads. You can usually see me from Suffield to Southington so if you ever want to ride, I'm always up for meeting other cyclists.
