Hi, I'm new here
Hi all,
I just signed up as a new user. My main interest is in bicycle touring, mainly by mountainbike to strange places in the world...
Apart from that I occasionally join mountainbike marathon races, not to win, but more to have fun. And then there's long-distance road racing - who will join for next year's Paris-Brest-Paris?
I joined this forum to be able to exchange experiences also with the english-speaking community - I am also an active member of a German bike touring forum.
Anyway, that's it.

Hey Alex,
maybe it didn't become clear that I'm the proud owner of several bikes - four to be precise.
And one of them is a road racing bike which I'll use for the qualifications and PBP. It served well last time. As far as I know the regulations do not exclude mountainbikes as such, apart from the fact that if I were to use a mountainbike I would use different tires, and most probably also mount a larger front chainring, as I had done for Trondheim-Oslo (550km) before I had the road bike...
