Hello Chicago

Hello!

I've been lurking on the forums a lot. I finally caved to the pressure from the banners and joined the community.

A year ago, I didn't ride much. Then I graduated college, moved to Chicago and bought a Working Bikes 10 speed. Now I bicycle all over and feel good about myself.

I just cleaned a winter's worth of sludge off of my bike and now my hands feel funny. I'm nervous about scratching my eyes or eating anything I've touched with my hands, but only as an afterthought.

Welcome, interesting name you go by. Are you a fan of their music?

What did you wash your bike with?

I'd say spend some time thoroughly scrubbing out your hands. Make sure you use soapy warm water and wash repeatedly.

If your hands are irritated or continue to build up some kind of rash or inflammatory reaction, then my vote is to head to the emergency room or your doctor as soon as possible.

Oh- and welcome to the forums!

No strong feelings, I just liked the way it sounded when I was signing up.

I was using Simple Green and water. And I was fine the day after. Thanks for your concern.

Yeah- Simple Green is good stuff- though it can tend to dry your skin sometimes.

Get some of those rubber gloves from Target or a hardware store the next time, just to be on the safe side.
