Hello from ME
Hello all
I am in Maine (ME) at the NE corner of the continental US. I am commuting to/from work, which is a 30 mile round trip over a rolling mix of urban and rural landscape. I was a utility cyclist many years ago when I was in college, put the bike away when I graduated, gained weight, had a heart attack, got back on the bike, lost weight and feel sooo much better now.
My commuter is a Bianchi San Remo, which has fenders, bar-end shifters, Arkel panniers, Nexus Generator hub and lights.
When I want some fun between my legs, I ride a custom steel frame made by Peter Mooney, with a mix of Campi Chorus and FSA drive train - half the weight of my commuter
For the past three years I have done a charity bike ride from Montreal to Boston, raising money for AIDs vaccine research - a great ride, read about it at www.charitytreks.org - this year we will ride from Montreal to Portland ME.
