Hello from California!!
Hi everyone,
I am from the mostly sunny state of California. I used to ride bikes for fun as a kid, but as of last year started riding again for fitness purposes as well as fun. I really enjoy the freedom of being on my bike. I do mtn biking on a Specialized Rockhopper Comp, that I have thouroughly beaten up over the year. I am surprised that is it still holding up to the punishment of my riding style, or perhaps lack of style.
I also enjoy riding on the road. I wasn't sure if I would like road riding, but have found that it really is a lot of fun. The speed is what really got me. I picked up an old Schwinn Le Tour road bike just to see if I would enjoy it, and am now looking to pick up a more serious road bike. But not before I do a full rebuild on my Schwinn. It really rides well. My plans are to strip it down, give it a new coat of paint, and rebuild it as a SS or fixie. I really like the old school look, and the minimalist approach of the ss/fixie bikes.
Over the past weekend I have stumbled across something new and interesting in the bike world, that I am putting a lot of interet towards. That being Folded bikes, which is actually what led me to this forum. I could not find any info on RBR.com for folded bikes, so here I am. I am sure I will find lots of information on the subject since there is a dedicated forum for these bikes.
Thank you all for having me, and I'm sure I will enjoy my stay!
