New - St. Petersburg, FL

Hi,

About two months ago I picked up a cheap MTB from Target and found out that I like riding. Since then, (2 weeks ago) I've been riding my Cannondale RW400 - this is MUCH better! I typically ride 20mi each weekday and at least 50 per weekend day around downtown.

Anyone else from the area? I'm interested in jumping into the St Pete Bicycle Club. Does anyone have any experience with that group? Friendly? Helpful? Also, if there's another newer person around here that would like a riding pertner, I'm up for it.

Hey,
I live in Tampa but I use to live in St. Pete. I've heard good things about St. Pete Bike Club, but no personal experience. Sometimes I'll pack up my bike and head over to St. Pete. I like to ride through downtown too especially around the waterfront. The Pinellas trail is good too if you can withstand the pedestrians/dogs/rollerbladers. I also like cycling out to the beaches during the off season. Have fun.
