Porland, ME?

Hey I'm quite possibly moving to Portland, Maine in June. I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about the cycling scene there. I've visited once as my mom lives in Rangeley(sp?). I don't know too much about the city so if you do lemme know!

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Hi Suzy,

+1 to Mr. Stormcrowe's advice on the regional section. And there are more than a few cyclists in the Southern & Coastal, Maine area as well as N.H. You shouldn'e have trouble finding someone to ride with. One of my friends here on BF is a female from the same area you are considering moving to.

Good Luck and welcome to BF. Don't forget to check out FOO when you are just looking for some laughs.

There's a lot of good riding in the Portland area. There are a few BFer's from Portland. Check out Bike Coalition of Maine, and The Eastern Trail. The Eastern Trail is kinda cool, right now its a mostly over the road trail from Kittery to South Portland.

I'm actually a little further south in York.
