Hi from Sydney
G'day everyone, newbie from Australia here.
I've just bought myself a new road bike - she's a very gorgeous Specialized Dolce Vita multisport in a fetching hue called "seabreeze". My husband says it's a particularly girlie colour but I don't know - it's a shade of blue, neither feminine nor masculine but sexy all the same.
I love the way she feels on the road, very responsive, very zippy and smooth as well.
I'm new to the whole world of road bike riding - it's definately a serious sub culture. I go riding in Centennial Park and there are literally hundreds of elite cyclists grappling for space on the track - get's a bit dicey at certain times of the day but you have to hang in there don't you? I feel like I have to follow the trend soon and pick up some lycra gear, I'm wearing shorts and tees at the moment and how can anyone take me seriously if I wear that?!
I'm mixing up my routes a bit - going to Watson's Bay from my place (Elizabeth Bay) every other day and I know I'll eventually get up Heartbreak Hill without having to stop and unclip to get my breath back - too embarrassing for words!
Anyway, nice to be here - this site makes for very interesting reading, I'm learning a lot.
Cheers,
Melanie.

Hello Melanie, I've got a Specialized Dolce Elite, and love that bike. It's also painted in what I consider to be in a fetching shade of blue, and more to the point, it came with the perfect saddle for my bum.
