introduction
Hi, I have often read postings on this forum and joined when I needed info re hadling characteristics re frame design. My interests are frame design related to body size leg length etc, and cycling with knee problems. I am 65, and have cycled all my life. Seffy

Hi seffy. The correct size is not complicated to determine and even easier to screw-up. Fit, starting with the correct frame size is the first step. From there, part selection and adjustment ensues. When you start-out right, you are much less limited as far as the adjustability to suit you,the "happy medium" dynamic comes into play. Knee problems don't need radical frame sizes as hip problems would. Knee concerns are more often addressed in the "final stages" of adjustment; seated possition, pedals too. Not to seem condecending, I'm no young buck myself, I rode the wrong size for twenty five years.

Hi Old and New, Interesting - with my new bike I actually went about it the other way around. I started with the pedals. No clips or cleats, and then got the Cranks . 150mm Harris Cyclery. Short cranks allow a lower BB, and it went from there. It's helped my knee but the bike is not as stable as I wanted. Martin
