New Boston Boy Here... Looking forward to participating

I've had a Cannondale hybrid for almost 10 years now, but I'e been on it only maybe 6-10 times a year. Recently diagnosed with diabetes and have been doing the treadmill workout to lose weight, but I want to come back to my first love, biking.

I'm 6'1", and currently 245lbs (was at 263 about 2 years ago).

I'm not hardcore, more of a leisurely rider, will occasionally go out with my wife and daughter to trails. But I bought a trainer this week (Blackburn Fluid) and want to use the trainer to increase my ability and confidence to take the bike on the road when I can. And possibly even get to the point where I can do group rides without embarrasing myself.

I'm sure I'll be posting a lot asking advice at first. I look forward to gaining some wisdom here.

Jerry
