Hello everyone.
My name is Dave and I'm an alco.... wait a second, wrong forum!
I'm 38, married, no kids, and primarily a runner. When I get into the doldrums of running, I look for a duathlon, start to bike a little (nowhere near enough!), and then fade away from biking. I did this cycle (no pun intended) about ten years ago, too.
I am training for the Dannon Duathlon this weekend (July 13); 5K run, 30K bike, and 5K run. I started my bike training by doing an 18 miler, then a 75 miler. I can't seem to do anything in moderation! I hope to keep doing both until November, when the Dannon series returns to Cathedral City, where I last did a duathlon in 91.
I'm currently keeping a close tab on the Tour de France, and I am smart enough to know that me and my X-Lab tri-bike would get killed by Armstrong and a Schwinn Stingray. But hey, I keep riding!
I'm kind of between jobs right now... actually finishing one while getting ready to start another. Can update later once I start the new job.
Later!

Beautiful (and smoggy) La Verne, nestled right in the foothills. Got a ride here called GMR (Glendora Mountain Road). Perfect, because they close it to cars on the weekends. Starts in Glendora, passes through Mt. Baldy Village, and then finishes in Claremont, which is just a few miles from La Verne. 20-25 miler if I recall.
