New guy from Utah

Ok, so I just bought my first road bike ever today, and my first bike since I was like 15 years old. I'm now 29. A few of my friends from work and neighbors ride bikes. My friend at work is a hard core rider. He rides all year round here in Utah, even in snow. He has inspired me to ride. So, I looked around in the used market here in Salt Lake. I checked pawn shops, a guy with 2 used bikes and finally found one. I picked up a 60cm Fuji Sagres SP with Suntour components for $200. It rides excellent. Very smooth, good brakes, nice paint, tires, etc. It was recently "tuned". I road it tonight with my 4 year old around the neighborhood. What a good time. I got my wifes Raleigh mountain bike running again. We'll see if the tubes hold air. Then, we just need to get a baby trailer and we'll be set. Hopefully I can find some friends here, learn more about my bike (I think its pretty old. It has the shifters on the frame.) and riding on the street. My goal is to get in great shape and have a blast being outdoors. I wish I lived closer to work, or I'd commute. I'm thinking of commuting part way by car and the rest by bike, then coming home in the opposite fashion. We'll see. I'll see if I can post pictures of the bike.

Hi Chris, I see you already found the C & V forum, and provided photos without prompting. Excellent!

Welcome to BF!
