Old guy starting over

Hi I am a old guy 67 . I rode cheapo english racing bikes in the 50's and in the early 60's I got a used high end racing bike and rode hard for several years. In the mid 60's I was in the Army Special Forces and rode in several large inter service meets and won a few. I rode very little from the 1975 till 2006 and have started again and ride every day. I hike a lot and it is fun to pass up all those young people.

HEY, its not so fun when you pass all those younger guys, atleast not when those younger guys are me. I have to laugh everytime i go out hiking and someone the age of my grandpa blows by me, it can be a bit embarrassing. Glad to see you are riding again though, it is a blast.

I ride a Cannondale 3.0, 1998 model. Also have a Giant Perigee 1987 model. I also have my 1967 French bike that I road back then. Not much left of it as I converted it to a single speed in the 70's when I was living in Florida. I now live south of Concord NC in NASCAR country. I just found out they are doing bike times on the big oval at Lowe's Motor Speedway. I am going to watch them at there next meet. I have seen cars go 200+ so I wondering how fast a bike can do it.

Not quite as fast as a car! You should get out there and let us know how fast you were .
