From the ATL
Just making my membership official. I live in Atlanta. I ride a fixie. I am an investigator for a public defender office (representing clients facing the death penalty). A few friends and myself are working a website - www.BIKEATLANTA.net - so anyone in the Atlanta area should check it out. There's nothing really right now. Look for it soon.

Glad you found us. I'm sure you've noticed that there are LOTS of Atlanta area members.
Have you posted pictures of your bike?
Nice website, so far. What else will you be adding?

Thanks
Thanks for the welcome.
No pics yet, maybe soon.
As far as the website goes, the main focus of the site will be a message board sort of like this one. The idea for the site came up when a few of us were talking about how it would be nice to have a public discussion board regarding bike friendly routes through and around Atlanta. The idea is that say you’re in L5P and want to ride to the West End; you can post the question asking other local riders for ideas for routes. Or, if you find a good way to get from L5P to the West End, you can post that for others to use, etc.
There will be a number of topics on the board and we will try to make it a clearinghouse for local bike resources. We would love any and all input, help, etc. The key to the site will be getting people to use it. So everyone in the ATL needs to be talking about it and trying it out. We hope to have it up and running in a week or so.
