should i keep my expensive bike?
I bought a few months ago a 2006 trek madone SSLx. It came with a new chris king threadless headset. the race xxx lite fork. A used k-force wing handlebars. A used race xxx lite seatpost. I purchased it for 2,125 in january. The bike is beautiful, the previous owner kept virtually new. I have not used it at all, let alone taken it 2 feet from it's box. In fact looking back i dont know why i wanted it in the first place; it wasnt until after-i realized it wont make me any better. The bike i have now is a cannondale r700 year 2005. It is very serviceable. But obviously the SSLx is leap ahead. Should i sell it and risk taking a several hundreds of dollars hit, or just keep it.
If i were to keep it i would need new components and wheels
So if i did keep it is it worth it to spend $900 on the race xxx lite wheelset, and another $845 on 105 components.

Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.
Why would you need new components and wheels?
