New Canadian-- been lurking for too long!
I'm Sarah from Vancouver-- I've been lurking around this site while I've been stripping down my bike (building a singlespeed)and preparing for new parts and toys for the bike... I decided it's time I take part and stop stealing people's insight without offering anything in return. I used to do a lot of mountain biking when I was younger (around 12), but haven't done so in recent years. I've been road riding, and might do my first road race this year.
Like I said, I'm building up a new singlespeed (i have a 2-week vacation from school). I've stripped it of its parts, hacked, filed and grinded away at the brazons and deraillieur hanger, etc, and I'm about to strip the paint today and take it to the powder coaters! Needless to say, I've been eating, drinking and sleeping BIKE.
Anyways, that's my intro. See you on the boards!

Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.
Hello Sarah, did you take photos of the ongoing process? WHY NOT
?
Too bad you took off all the bits and pieces, but depending on what you hacked, it's not necessarily a bad thing.
We'd take you severely to task if you mutilated a Schwinn Paramount, though
.
Welcome to BF!
