Hi All

Good to be on the forum, thanks for having me. I have been off and on the bike scene for many years. I ride until I get hurt and quit for a few years. Well I am recently married to a much younger woman and she wants to learn to ride. So I am back. My local dealers love me because everytime I come into there shop they know I am going to buy a new bike and lots of goodies. They also ask about the slightly used old ones in my garage which I hoard like old money. Its a disgusting habit but the devaluation of used bikes makes me adorn my garage walls with pretty aluminum, carbon and going way back steel bikes before giving them away for a song. So we'll see how long this run last and hopefully I am old enough now to stay with a casual pace and flatter terrain. Heck I might try riding just for enjoyment and not pacify my masochistic needs. Thanks again.

Hi Ron, what old bikes have you got? Are you going to ride one of the ones hanging on the wall?

What ride are you getting for your wife?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Old Bikes

Hi East Hill, I appreciate the welcome. As for my old bikes, I have an old steel frame Lemond I keep going back to that I will probably ride. I have shrunk a Giant TCR2 down for the wife so she can get a feel for road biking. In addition to those I have a Specialized Stump Jumper, Trek 930, and a Jamis. They all have a special place on the garage wall.
Looking to do some riding in Bavaria this fall. Need to get into shape. Might email you with some questions. Have a good one.

I got to ride in Bavaria on a rental motorbike last summer. I saw lots of bicyclists out there. Beautiful roads, good drivers, an absolute pleasure.

The people there are very friendly, and of course it goes without saying there is good .

Have a great time!
