Hello from Toronto!
Hi!
Working on re-establishing myself as a "bike guy" here in Toronto this summer. In the 90s in Montreal I was car-free, but then moved to Ottawa, bought my first car, and, welp... But I'm back in the big city again, and even through the winter I've found myself only using the car once every couple weeks. I doubt I'll be car-free again anytime soon, but car-light sounds good.
Right now I've got my '05 Kona Smoke with a CETMA rack on the front to get me around town, and a nice rolling commute to keep me riding, plus in a garage in Ottawa I've got a Giant Peloton 7600 (I think? I can't remember the number) which I hope to get down here now that I know I've got a place to store it, and I bet I'll have an old fixie by the summer's end too.
Somehow I managed to forget about bike culture the whole time I was in Ottawa, where bikes are more fitness and family recreation than transportation (not that that's awful, but that's not my kink) so I'm looking forward to getting back into things again.
