New Guy Checking in

Hello, my name is Ernest. I rediscovered the joys of bicycling. I bought a nice (IMO) Columbian Diamondback MTB about 8 months ago. I began to ride aound the neighborhood and nearby park. Within the first 3 weeks I lost 20 pounds! (yay for me!) I now weigh the same I did after high school. I moved on to trails and off-road biking. Not the really radical stuff like flying off cliffs and stuff but I do like a challenging trail now and then. My main goal is to get in and stay in decent physical shape and get rid of my potbelly! That and enjoy bicycling. I hope to get alot of tips from this forum and hopefully add a few of my own.
Ernest

Hi Ernest, 20 pounds is a good start! Hurrah .

If you are in the Clydesdale category, go on over and visit with them. Actually, even if you aren't a Clyde, the C/A forum is full of people who will encourage you to do your best.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Thanks for the welcome East Hill. At 185 I consider myself to borderline since my potbelly does qualify me as a clydesdale. I've already found lots of useful info here. This is gonna be great!

It's always possible to be an honorary Clyde. Besides, the folks over there are just great guys and gals--they don't mind .
