Hello from PA

I'm new here. Just got my old Trek hybrid tuned up and I've been riding for the first time in 6 years ever since the weather broke. I've recently lost 30 pounds, and I've been looking for new ways to burn calories.
I'm also a backpacker and I'm cross training for a strenuous trip in the High Sierra.

Hello Talus, my first thought when I saw the user name was this must be someone who is used to being around mountains!

Where are you going in the High Sierra?

Congratulations on getting out and about on the Trek .

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

WE are doing three days on the John Muir Trail in September. Starting in Yosemite Valley at about four thousand feet, and going to Tulolumne Meadows at about ten thousand feet. I've got to get my old bones in shape!

Welcome Talus. Sounds like a great trip. I'm in the Washington, PA. area, near Pittsburgh, where you from?

Yeah, I've been to Mercer. Our old neighbors lived there before they moved to FL. My youngest son goes to "The Rock".
