rolling around atlanta
Hey now.
Stumbled across the forum trying to find out if my bike contains nanotubes. Found some great info from some knowledgeable people here and decided to join the community. I ride a hybrid all around Atlanta and love it, except for the disrespectful drivers always trying to kill me of course. I hate driving, and good thing, have you seen the price of gas? Well, just introducing myself, hope all is well with everyone, but I got to boogie....

Did we answer your original question? Even if it doesn't have nanotubes, it would still have tubes
.What's the bike you're riding?

nanotubes
Hey,
Sorry it took me so long to reply. The truth is I don't know a lot about it. I read an article that nanotubes may be as bad for people as asbestos and that they were used in bicycles. I'm not even sure really what they are. But my bike is a Raleigh SC40, it's a hybrid. I found the bikes' specs on some website and it appeared as if the bike has no nanotubes, what ever they are. So what did you mean it may still have tubes? You'll have to forgive my ignorance but I just don't know.

I think your SC40 is made of aluminum tubes and nanotubes are allotropes of carbon so your probably in much more danger from cell phone distracted Atlanta drivers than you are from your tubes. I went to Buckhead today, the traffic was absurd, I can't imagine riding in that stuff... Be carefull out there and welcome to the forums.

thanks
Yeah, buckhead. I don't even go there in my car! I'm actually going to ride from stone mountain to little five today and have a late lunch at the vortex and mess around all day on my bike. I love the bike path around candler park and the carter center where it's all winding and hilly, it's fun. Eventually I'll end up at Centennial Park for the fireworks. I just hope there is somewhere there to lock my bike up. Maybe CNN has a rack. I appreciate your help with the tubes.
