Thanks so far!
Hey, I’ve been snooping around for a while now (and getting alot of information. Thanks!), so I suppose it's about time I introduce myself. I’m Tom. I’m from Wisconsin. My first venture in to the biking world started several years ago when I was doing a lot of fire road and some singletrack MTB riding with a good buddy of mine. More recently, I have come to enjoy cycling as a means of transportation, and I am currently working on getting the below mentioned Panasonic DX-2000 ready to take to school with me next semester. I might end up going the singlespeed or maybe even fixed gear route with it. We’ll see. I’ve always enjoyed wrenching on bikes and hope to get into bike touring soon.
So that’s me. See ya around.
Tom

Hey welcome Tom, good to see someone getting into road cycling. I was the exact opposite, a roadie for years and now riding the fire roads on my new mtn bike. I am the worlds biggest chicken when it comes to gnarly terrain, and my definition of "gnarly" is probably far removed from anyone elses!
Have fun here and post a lot!

Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.
Hi Tom, there's a sticky in Classic & Vintage for 'In search of/Want to buy' (ISO/WTB). I think that there must be a few people who can give you a hand getting the Panasonic back into shape.
