Hi to the list

Hi folks
I've been reading here for a while, liked what I saw and decided to join.
I live in Virginia 35 miles east of Fredericksburg and 10 miles west of George Washing's Birth Place NM.
In general Virginia has poor roads for biking but we are improving and developing some rails to trails.
Talk to you soon.

Bikes: Lots

Welcome, and by your statement regarding the cond. of road, I take it you are a "roadie". Me, as long as it has 2 wheels, I love it! Mt., Road, BMX, what else?....Hmmm. Touring, not yet, but I'd like to do one in the next couple of years.

Do any Mt. Biking up there? I've got a friend that rides up there a ot and wants me to come for a visit.

I've been thinking of relocating and VA was on my top 10 list. Any comments/concerns...etc? PM me w/ any advice.

I do off road biking using a mt bike. I plan to head out to the hills and do some more. It seems that you need to do some road riding no matter.

As to moving here:
What kind of job would you want? The Navy or us support contractors are often hiring. The last 8 years both our governors were NRA members - I even knew the outgoing one from NRA meetings. So I was happy with that. The incoming one says he is sportsman friendly - hope so. He should be good for biking except that we no longer have a surplus budget.

Most of the state parks have trails that are bike friendly. I've ridden a couple.

As I mentioned we have some rails to trails stuff.
