Bikes: takara from the 80's- rebuilt with love
hello!
Hello!
I'm a year-round bike commuter living in Minneapolis, MN. I started riding a bike about two years ago out of necessity (I didn't want to own a car and the bus is expensive) and have slowly learned to love it. I now have fun biking around the city and taking long day trips (in the summer) and taking full advantage of all the bike paths and bike highways in the twin cities. I ride a black Takara from the 80's that I took apart and turned it in to a rad touring bike for an upcoming 5 week bike tour through Florida.
looking forward to being a part of the forum

Welcome Lylee!
I also live in the Twin City area . . . in the Lakeville area. The Twin Cities are great cycling cities that are well supported by the communities. I ride mainly in the south suburbs and beyond into the countryside. My job, coupled with the distance does not allow me to commute by bike but I wish I could. Do you belong to any of the local clubs? Anyway, it's good to hear from another Twin City rider!

I do really like the bike community in the cities. I don't belong to any of the local bike clubs- but have been thinking about getting more involved once summer comes again. I had been going to Sibley bike depot in St. Paul to work on my bike and take some of their free classes- it's a great space.
