Hi- Very quickly, I am picking up a women's Schwinn World (year unknown) 10 speed tomorrow to ride as a commuter, as I save for a cyclocross bike. My commute is 20 mi. RT, but I think I'll just be riding in to work and taking the metro back until I get settled into riding. Great site, btw.

Hi, welcome to Bikeforums. 20 mile commute is quite respectable. My current commute is only 6 miles each way which takes me about 20 to 25 mins. I can see why you would take the metro back home if you want to get home at a reasonable time.
