Bike Commuting in Kansas

Hi All, I am new here and just did my first commute of the year riding my TREK 7.2FX into work. Such a great day for biking, temp getting close to 70 degrees! My trip is a little over 9 miles and 95% on a great bike trail. I am a "casual" commuter, so primary goal is to "get" there, secondary "goal" is to just enjoy the ride. I just put on some pedal clips, curious if anyone else has any expereinces with these and tips on best way to use?

Welcome, KansComm. Check out the winter cycling, commuting, and utility forums on here. That's where I educated myself on commuting before starting 8 days ago. I'm hooked! Good luck.
