Hey, all, I'm just getting into the world of biking for commute/travel around Boston and New York! Definitely going to build my first bike (going fixie) in order to learn all I can about the mechanics. So far this forum has been a wealth (re: vault, or other synonym) of information. Can't wait to learn more!

And can I show a little bike envy here of wishing I could build a bike (my next roadbike is going to be a personal build at a shop where I, for a small fee - as I don't have all the tools or the knowledge, will be incorporating these guys time ordering the parts I want and building my own using their tools and if I have questions - they are there. I cannot wait. Of course this will not happen till next year -
