Hi from the Midwest!
Hello all!
I am currently cycling the so-called flats of the greater-Milwaukee area; no mountains, but not as flat as one might think!
Originally from South Africa, I used to cycle as to school as a young lad - 6mi/10km each way with 20 lb of books on my back, ALL hills
As soon as I arrived in Milwaukee, about 4 years ago, I bought a Bianchi road bike and began pedalling again after many years. I also have a s/s Schwinn work-in-progress, which I rescued from the trash collection. Rode past on my bike, and went back to pick it up in my wife's Jeep as soon as I got home
Looking for a MTB, and thinking of commuting also. I volunteer at the Milwaukee bicyccle collective, recycling old classics back into the community.
Thanks for reading!
