Hi from Kansas
Hey everyone,
I've been on and off the bicycle for the last 10 years or so, with a few trips to Moab under my belt. Last year in March I had a total left hip replacement. That slowed me down for a while, but now it's no problem at all. In June, after several months of no bike riding, I decided to get back in shape, and day before yesterday (Sunday) I rode my first century since 2005. Took me a while (7 hour, 48 minutes, plus breaks), but I did it! Not too bad for a 50+ fat man with a fake hip.
Anyway, I've been lurking around here the last few days and it looks like a friendly place with lots of good info. I'm looking forward to spending some time here.
Take it easy,
