Hello from Jersey!
Just thought I'd introduce myself...I'm new to biking (well, not counting the occasional bike rentals on family vacations 10+ years ago), and just bought my bike over the weekend. My GF and I kept talking about getting bikes, and finally Sunday afternoon we went to the LBS and bought them!
I forget what she got, I got a hybrid/comfort Schwinn Voyager GS. I know it's not the fanciest bike, but so far it's been great (rode a bit on Sunday, then rode 7.5 miles yesterday). I'm biking in part to rehab my knee (I tore my ACL playing rugby last year, and post-surgery and PT I still feel like my knee/leg is kind of weak), and I can feel it already!
I am sore after yesterday, but so excited to ride more...it felt so good to get moving!

Definitely not! I'm very proud of myself. Got 4 rides in since I bought the bike a week ago Sunday! Two were relatively small, but two were over an hour! I can feel the difference already in my knee, and I am loving getting out and moving.
