Thanks to some previous posts about when to ride after arthroscopic knee surgery, I went for my first post-op ride this morning - 60 kilometers!!!!! It felt so good to be on the bike six weeks after surgery. I've been spinning on my trainer for the last 4 weeks so had some base. I'm a 61 year old Ironman triathlete who injured herself in 2008 after doing Ironman Canada. I love to ride and just getting out on my bike this morning gave me hope of all those long rides that I love to do. No triathlons this year but I'm planning on doing the Seattle to Portland ride and an inagural ride from Vancouver to Whistler in August. Again thanks to those who posted their info on when they first rode after knee surgery. You were my motivation to get out there and ride!!!
