New From Dallas
Hello and Happy Holidays..I am new here so I thought it would be good to introduce myself.. I live in Dallas Texas and enjoy riding,..Although I have been away from it for about a year and a half..I now plan on riding again and devoting much of the next year to riding, including the possibility of a tour..
I have a K2 Astral, but it is a "Special Version" called the Escape.. Without the Astral designation..It is really a fast bike and comfortable to ride..K2 dosnt classify it as a comfort bike but as a performance road bike for training. I am in the process of replacing some parts on it and hopefully use it for a tour this upcoming year, if I can't get my hands on a regular touring bike..We will see...
Glad to be here,
Free Spirit

Hey there. Welcome to Bike Forums. I have a friend who toured Europe. Luckiest man I know, personally. One of my favorite stories was how he was pulling his fully loaded touring rig up the side of a mountain in France or somewhere and he was passing the roadies on carbon fiber bikes. Touring makes you strong! I am going to take a tour sometime next year also, hopefully. Anyway, welcome again.

Hi Free Spirit and welcome to Bike Forums!
It's good to see that you are getting back on the bike, a lot of times we forget how beneficial it is to ride. But it seems like you are on your way again!

You gonna eat that?
There's a fairly active cycling community in the DFW area. Make sure to look in on the Texas forum from time to time. I live in Fort Worth. I've ridden in Dallas a few times near the city core. It's reasonably bike friendly.
