Hi All from Kansas City
Hi all,
The forum looks like the most popular bike forum on the 'net so it looks like a good place to interact with others. I recently bought a couple of classic road bikes to refurbish. It has been MANY years since I last rode a bike. The bikes I just bought weren't even a sparkle in an engineer's eye when I last rode a bike to work. So these bikes are a real treat for me.
Attached are the BEFORE (refurb) photos. The second one is a 1985 Schwinn World that I plan to keep and the other is a 1978 Raleigh Record Ace that I plan to flip after a good overhaul. I'll probably be hanging in the Mechanic's Section. Hope to chat soon.
Later,
Steve

Thanks, 10 Wheels. I'm getting set up to do some painting but don't have any real experience yet other than hangin' around body shops a lot when I was younger. Some of the techniques rubbed off along with the VOC's.
I have a couple of guns, a compressor and tools. Even picked up a soda blaster for removing old paint. Oh, and I'm still working on installing steel pipe around the garage to help remove moisture from the compressed air. Just waiting for Spring temperatures pretty much now.
