Hello from Charlotte, NC
New to the forum and the sport. Last spring I injured my back trail running and dealt with 6 straight months of severe sciatica. I couldn't even get up out of a chair without the assistance of my hands and arms. It sucked! After months of chiro, massage, etc, nothing was working so I decided to try walking for an hour or so every day. Voila! Pain free after two weeks and no problems since!
North Carolina has experienced a "'real" winter so far and I can't wait for the spring and DST so I can start riding 100+ miles per week. Right now I'm averaging about 60 per week at 18-19mph. Getting faster is hard work, but I've been pleased with my improvement since starting 4 months ago.
Good stuff on here.....good reading and info.

Bought an '09 Fuji Roubaix in October. Upgraded the saddle and tires pretty quickly and just upgraded the wheels (Mavic Open Pro rims with Dura Ace hubs). Starting to become a real nice ride for the money.
