Hello from Ft Myers Beach, FL
Hi
Just found this forum while trying to research beach cruiser type bicycles.
My wife and I have Univega hybrids (bought in the early 90's) but getting them from Massachusetts to Florida isn't practical for us.
Just planning to do casual riding on flat paths, so we thought single speed comfortable bikes might be the way to go.
We're both in our 50's - comfort is high on our priority list - long rides are not
Have only looked at Schwinn Windwood (I think) so far - so hoping to find some good info here.

I know the thread is old, but all too familiar!!!..I live in Centerville Ma. on Cape Cod in the summer, and Ft. Myers in the winter. I know Ft. Myers bch. like the back of my hand!! Lani Kai, Surf Club, Beached Whale, Yuka Tan, etc.I ride mostly MacGregar Blvd.to downtown, and around there.My wife and I brought a set of bikes down one year, and left them. That gave us the excuse to buy new ones up north.I also frequently ride the Shining Sea bike path (N. Falmouth to Woods Hole) when I'm up north.I ride all over the upper, and mid cape.Falmouth to Orleans.
