Newbie Seattle Commuter
I just learned about Bike Forums by doing a web search for some biking related issues. I must say I am really impressed by the collective wisdom, good will and good humor I see here! I hope I can add to that.
I just started bike commuting in earnest a few weeks ago from Queen Anne Hill in Seattle over to Downtown Bellevue (19 miles each way). I am totally hooked and have even enjoyed the ride in a light sprinkle (can't be avoided hereabouts, I'm afraid).
Cheers!

From Seattle side I come up Parkland Pl. off LWB (after riding BGT to Husky Stadium and then picking my way over to and across Madison). From Bellevue I come across Mercer Slough and weave under I90 until I pop out on the East Channel Bridge. Great ride for a supposedly urban area (doesn't feel like that for alot of the ride). Alot of this stuff can be researched on mapmyride.com. Thanks for asking!
