Greetings from the Hammer
Hi everyone:
I'm new here and I'm new to biking. I've been lurking for a few months now and have already learned so much from everyone's posts. Thank you!
In the past couple of weeks, I've bought/been given three vintage bikes, only one of which is currently rideable, and the others I hope to fix up over the summer. For me, riding will be about recreation, fitness, and commuting.
Here's what I'm riding:
1991 Miyata Alumicross
Here’s what I'm fixing (steep learning curve, but that’s the point!):
Unidentified Raleigh. It's a champagne colour, with a decal style I haven't been able to match in the catalogues, some components that suggest it's a Rapide, and others that suggest a better model. Anyway, this one was given to me. It's missing a stem, handlebars, brakes, and front wheel.
Sekine SHC I bought for a couple of bucks at a garage sale. I forget the year.
Well, that's all for now. I have a lot to learn, but I'm seriously hooked.
Happy riding!
