Bikes: 2010 Specialized Allez Sport

New Member

Hello everyone, I am new to the cycling arena and I am looking into buying my first road bike. Any tips on which route to go for an entry level bike. I have recently looked a Scott Speedester s50 with Shimano Sora components and a Trek 1.2 with Tiagra components. What do you think would be the best choice for me. The Scott is about 200 cheaper and rode very well on my test ride. But would it be to my advantage to upgrade to teh Tiagra. I am mainly focused on riding for fitness purposes, but I may look into a few races in a couple of years. Any advice would be much appreciated.
