Hi everyone, my Name is Andy. I'm retired and returning to cycling, i've just finished building a bike up from a Bob Jackson frame, which was hand made in Leeds, Yorkshire. the frame is 15 years old and came with a campag headset, the rest i've bought or had given to me the bike is ready to go, however i'm very unfit so I'm riding an old Raleigh on a turbo to get the fat off, where i live in Kent is very close to The Romney Marsh which is quite flat and my riding destinations are all by the coast with 50 miles an average days ride.

I wouldnt call anyone who rides 50 miles in a day very unfit. I will be staying with my daughter in London in aug, and my wife wants to visit Rye, which I think is down your way.

Rye is a beautiful town and one of my favourite destinations, i'm not riding that sort of distance yet-just getting back to it, i'm quite overweight and trying hard to lose it but it's very slow going, stopped riding 10years ago, was doing about 300 miles a week then had lots of problems and gave it up but determined to do it again, enjoy your riding in Kent and Sussex, wed is market day in Rye and it's well worth a look
