Nooberpocalypse Intro / Opinion on older bike
Glad to be part of this forum, I'd like to make a quick introduction. I'm Green, been riding mountain bikes for a few years and just very recently made the switch to road bikes. I love it and I'm never looking back as it's much easier on my back and knees.
I did my research and ended up purchasing a 2009 Felt Z100 from my LBS and got a killer deal but I'm looking for a project / daily commuter bike and thats where the Elance 310 comes into the picture. Being sold locally on craigslist and the seller claims it's in good working condition for $170. Would like to get some of your opinions on it, whether I'm wasting my money or if it's worth it.
Thanks for your input.

Cheers Green, welcome to Bike Forums.
How old is the bike? People in our Classic & Vintage Appraisals forum could probably give you opinions on the value.

It's a Trek Elance 310 from 1986 I believe. Will know for sure tonight when I take a look at it. Seems like a good deal for a quality bike from that era. Thanks for your help and if I end up picking it up tonight will post it up in the Classic & Vintage section.
