Hi everyone. Was really glad to find this forum which seems to have a lot of helpful information. Until last year I was just a campground bike rider and then decided it would be a great way to get fit and lose some weight for my daughter's wedding in the fall. Bought a new aluminum frame Motobecane hybrid and starting riding in June 2010. I put 500 miles on the bike just country road riding where we have lots of hills. The first month was the hardest but it got easier as the summer progressed and I got more fit.

I really enjoy country riding but wish there were more trails in my area. I'm always a little antsy on the roads with all the cell phone users, speeders and just plain daydreamers. Eventually when I retire I would like to ride the trail that runs from Pittsburgh, PA to Washington D.C. That's on my bucket list!
