Getting Started in Northwest
Mid-life hit. Decided 6 wks ago, to get off my butt and get OUT there! Bought hybrid bikes (husband, son & myself). Did 40 miles first week. Then got reasonable....about 10-20 miles a week now. When summer hits we'll have time for more. We both work full time & have found that wearing out our wild kiddo on a bike is a GREAT way to burn off energy. Fun new hobby! Now we're looking for all the best Northwest paved paths. Don't want son on town streets as often as paths, though he's learning that too. (He's 10.) Like the scenic family rides apart from traffic. Loving this!!
