Newbie from New Mexico
Hello,
I became a bike rider after injuring my hip about 12 years ago. I had to give up running and tennis. Bicycling has been so wonderful that I rarely miss them.
I usually ride around Albuquerque but will do something bolder once in a while. I went to Taos last month and rode around the area for about 3 days.
I look forward to participating in the forums!

Hi Cbad!
I guess I forgot to include bike info in my first post. I ride a 2009 Trek 7.3 Fx. My previous bike was a 2000 Trek Navigator 200. The Navigator helped me get into biking after my injury but it was very slow.
The 7.3 Fx is much better. It has the thin racing tires and better shifters and derailleurs. It also has the upright handlebars which is more comfortable than the racing-style bikes.
