Hey from central florida
Hey from central Florida! I am a newbie to commuting but not to bikes. I am going to start commuting tomorrow morning and am expecting to complete the ride (8 miles each way) about four times a week. The weather here this time of year is in the high 70's to low 80's in the a.m. and low to mid 90's in the p.m. Those temps aren't too bad, but with 100% humidity, the temperature feels like it's over 100 degrees. The good news is, as a PE teacher, it doesn't make a difference that I am all hot and sweaty when I get to work! LOL
Anyway, I have really enjoyed reading all the posts on these forums and am looking forward to providing some good information here too.

Welcome Scott. I'm a spacecoast commuter and it's been pretty miserable the past few months. I go into work at 3:30pm and air is ridiculously humid. If you can keep moving it's not too bad. Be prepared for the random summer showers too. Good luck, the first two weeks WILL suck
