Welcome to Bike Forums.
The folks in the Classic & Vintage forum may be able to enlighten you about the tandem.
If you're as old as you describe, stop by the 50+ forum and say hello to the old timers. I'm one of them. I'm 67.
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. - Psalm 103:8

I am a cyclist. I am not the fastest or the fittest. But I will get to where I'm going with a smile on my face.
