Hi Everybody!
I am just getting into road biking. I have a bunch of buddies who do it and they have convinced me to join in on the fun. I am what you would call a clydesdale (6'2" 289). I am working on dropping the weight ( already down 14#s since 1/2/12). I just picked up my first road bike from Craigslist. Its a '93 Trek 1200 Aluminum. The previous owner upgraded from Downtube shifters to STI, put new crankset on it as well. I pulled the SPD pedals off since I do not own shoes yet and I am getting used to riding with the cages for now. I took it out for my first ride this morning and put on 6.4 miles in just under 30 minutes. It feels great to get out and I am stoked to see where it takes me.
