Hello to everyone!
Hi there,
I'm Glen - a 46 year young cycling enthusiast in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
I've been cycling since I was 14 and started working in bike shops about the same time. I'm mostly a roadie - but also own mountain, touring, cruiser and other bikes. My wife thinks it's some form of weird addiction, but she's mostly supportive, LOL.
I'm a clydesdale I vary between 220 and 230 lbs... and very competitive - which doesn't go hand-in-hand usually unless there's a lot of downhill. I try to be competitive uphill - but ... well ... gravity. I've tried ultra-light bikes for climbing advantages ... and I just break 'em.
I've lots of mechanical experience as well - I worked in bike shops to support myself through school, then owned a bike shop for a few years and now run a seasonal mobile repair service with my sons. We make almost no money but I love it. =)
Well, I'm sure I'll talk at y'all more... Nice to be here!
