Hi from Charleston

I'm the guy in my neighborhood who fixes people's bikes in exchange for expenses and beer. I spent 12 months as a full-time mechanic in an LBS (2010-11), did the two-week course at UBI, and I check the forums here quite a bit for things that aren't covered in the usual references. I consider myself an entry-level bike geek.

Always looking for new tricks and ways to cut down on my usual meathead blunders.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like you're the guy everyone wants to know! Does the beer have to be cold?

And welcome from a guy in Columbia who visits Charleston often. I may have to bring some beer on my next trip.

And welcome from someone who has never been to Charleston! .

Have you checked out the mechanics forum? We would love your input and help in there.

Yes please tell us about the local rides. My wife and I are traveling to Charleston for a submarine reunion in late October and we are bringing our bikes and staying at an RV Park. What about a few really good places to eat as well. Charleston or North Charleston. Thanks in advance.
