Greetings from Jimmy
Hello, everyone! My name is Jimmy and it is great to have joined the Bike Forums.
I have been doing recreational biking since a kid, but did not get too serious until my adolescent years. I actually never had too much time to bike since I have been running cross country for the past four years in high school (My coach got mad at me when I'd crank out 20-25 miles on the bike after an 8-10 mile run), but now that I am moving onto college I have finally decided to make the transition from the running shoes to the bicycle. I hope to have a pleasant time with all of you here on Bike Forums.

Welcome to Bike Forums! Nothing wrong with combining running and biking, though you do have to keep specificity of training in mind if performance is a priority.
